I have come up with some important questions to use or ask when interviewing a REALTOR®. And I have mentioned that I am going to answer every one of them, in blog format, because I have a lot to say about most of them. So check in regularly for the answers!

Question 10. What kind of guarantee do you offer, will the REALTOR® let you cancel the contract if you unhappy with the
agent?

This is a great question, especially if you are asked to sign a contract. The last thing you want to do is to be committed to a contract that you cannot get out of.

When I am working with buyers, I will sit down with a new buyer client and have a “Meet and Greet /Buyers Counseling Session” with them. During this time we do talk about the contracts involved and at the end I will be asking you sign the Exclusive Buyer Brokerage Agreement. Of course you may take your time to review it, and ask questions. At that time, I will explain the advantages of working under a contract, and how to get out of the contract if we decided not to work with each other. I understand that people like to work with like people and sometimes a relationship does not always work out. I get that! And because of that, I do offer you an "easy exit clause" out of the contract if we choose not to proceed.

Now, what you do need to be aware of if that some REALTORs® will hold you to that contract, and not let you out easily. That is why it is a really good idea to chat to your REALTOR® about this.

Only after we have the contracts signed, is when we can go out looking at homes. The contract are also signed before showing of any listings for the safety of the Agents, Sellers, and Buyers. At this time you will know more about me, how the process works, and the expectations involved.

Tania ~ I include an easy exit clause in my contracts. I really have no desire to keep a client who does not want to work with me; however there is always an exception and short sales are a different animal.
