Cary NC: Rose Street Park

Rose Street Park in Cary NC is one of those little neighborhood parks, tucked away in a quiet area.  It reminds me of Lexi Lane Park, Dorothy Park, Heater Park, and Urban Park.

Unlike Bond Park, or North Cary Park, marquee headliners that they are, Rose Street Park, is much smaller.
At Rose Street Park, you will find a playground, an open play area, some benches for supervising parents, and a small basketball court.  The parking lot is adequate for 10 or 12 cars, and that is probably enough, as many park-goers probably live in the adjoining Burtrose neighborhood.

And the park is framed by beautiful mature crape myrtles.  20 foot tall crape myrtles with 3 and 4 inch caliper size are dramatic in their fountain shape, and the intrigue the trunks and bark develop over time.

Parks are special places for a short break in the day. Your park on Rose St in Cary NC reminded me a our "Rose Park" in Santa Fe. Now I will have to tell our story.

Mike, Rose Street Park looks very clean, tidy and well-tended to me.  A good place to shoot some hoops.  But, shouldn't there be some Roses in Rose Street Park?

Mike - I just have to say that the Parks in Cary are simply beautiful and so very well maintained too.  I remember when I was growing up North of Chicago when I was a kid ( not too very long ago - remember I am still a young man ), I promise you the parks may have had trees however the ground did not have grass & no nets on the the rims on my basketball courts.  It is clear why Cary is always on the top of the charts with best places to live.

Emily,

We are fortunate that Cary strives to save a little open space in areas scattered around the town.

Lloyd,

Roses...  I will offer that feedback!

Kevin,

Agreed.  Among Cary's many fine attributes, we have gorgeous parks.  Worth touring, for sure!

Mike--This park almost looks to nice to be real.  Grass and trees so green and lush, lots of seating and lots of shade.  Does not get much better than that!
