The Strand Theatre will feature David Swann from May 6th-29th. As a self-taught artist and commercial designer, photographer, and writer living and working in Atlanta, Georgia and Pari, Italy, David Swann has shown his work throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. His unique conceptual art pieces and photo-illustrations have appeared in magazines, ads, brochures, and other publications world-wide. His fine art works-on-paper and mixed media works-on-canvas are in several private collections. His focus for The Strand's gallery show will be works of neo-surrealism. This year's First Friday Art Walk, which will run through October, will feature Artists' Alley. Located in warehouse space at Dupre's Antique Market, 17 Whitlock Avenue, this intimate exhibit of juried artists will show a wide variety of creative styles. The event will be held from 5-9 pm and will give you plenty of time to visit at least 15 of the participating merchants and enter to win prizes.
