From Baby Station to Family Haven

By
Home Stager with The Staging Fashionista

We have been busy at The Staging Fashionista and we have met some wonderful clients.  We staged this occupied single family home in Ashburn, VA.  This was a wonderful family of 6 with a recent new born.  Here is the before and after of their family room.  They were so happy and could not believe that we were able to create a family haven that could sell by just using their items and a few of ours.  We love home staging and when you see these kind of results it really validates the difference home staging can make.

Manny- what a change!! I love staging occupied homes.  It really brings out the creativity in a stager.  Before, the living area didn't have any sense of purpose other than being a Baby Station!

Hi Kathy - I agree you can really see the difference in the after and I think the buyers will love it.  The problem is for the seller to keep it that way with 3 small children it ain't easy!

Mannie ~ The furniture placement was all wrong in the "before" shots.  Now, it looks like a family room should, with a great conversation area; and the fireplace is now the proper focal point of the room, with accessories that are the right scale.  You did a great job!

This room is so pretty now, Mannie.  What a difference!  I love the artwork - perfect colours for the space.

Another "Wow", Mannie.  Thank you for losing those valances.  The room looks fantastic.

Thank you Janet!  The sellers really wanted to keep the valances but once they saw why I wanted to remove them they were sold!

Mannie - Love that you brought the light in that dreary room.  Heavy closed curtains are a real drag and depressing when you're looking to buy a home.  Removing those valances sure made all the difference, and the placement of the furniture and added accessories are perfect.

Hi Michelle - thank you for stopping by.  Yes those curtain valances were just not fitting in with the contemporary furniture and the arrangement of the furniture was not inviting.  Glad they let me take the valances down as they were skeptical in the beginning!

Mannie:

Your work makes a dramatic difference !  Night and day !

It makes it so easy to sell your homes after they are staged.

Great job, again.
