Things are looking up!

So, things are finally starting to look up.  Now, I have only been in real estate for about 8 months and dont have a lot of experience.  But that really doesn't matter.  Everyone I talked to said not to bother with the REO/BPO industry.  They said this avenue was tapped out and wasn't going to lead me anywhere.  Well I have successfully completed my first 6 bpo's in my first week with EMortgageLogic.  I have since signed up with numerous other companies and am waiting assignments from them.  I am pretty excited about this because I know pretty soon it is going to turn into REO listings for me.  So why should I be so excited that I have completed these BPOs and why does it mean my future is going to be filled with Listings, listings and more listings?  Because I believe it does.  I think that to be a successful realtor you have to believe you will be one.  If the market is bad, work a little harder to make yourself the one that the few buyers or sellers out there turn to.

It seems like a lot of people are afraid of a little hard work.  I think realtors have an easy job.  We check emails, drive around to new places we haven't seen.  We eat out all the time and get to meet many new people daily.  On top of that, we get paid for it!  We dont have to sit behind a desk and get reemed by a boss all day.  Who wouldn't want to be a realtor.  I know that buyers are liars and you have to list to live.  But even with the dead leads out there I still love my career choice.  Don't consider real estate a job but think of it as a way to make a potentially limitless income.  In our job, the harder you work means you make more money.  At least it should be.  The ones who complain are the ones not willing to put extra effort in.  Now granted, I'm a former Marine and know a little bit about hard work.  But everyone has had another job at least when they were younger where they had to throw a little elbow grease in to make the boss happy.  Utilize that in this area and you will succeed.

Now, I know my future is looking good because I believe in myself.  I work hard because I want to and have to.  Anyone can make it in this business, you have to believe you can and you have to work for it.  My career is starting off good and I want to keep it that way.  Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead but that is who I belive we should be.  Look to secure the future and your "Now" will be set.

You have a great outlook. Keep believing in yourself. You won't get any listings from the BPO company you mentioned, but keep up your research and find companies that do assign listings. EM is a great company for a good source of extra income. They pay twice a month. Good luck to you.
