Thanks for Those Agents That Don't Return Calls from Prospects

Real Estate Agent with Greater Washington Arera Realty

A young couple found me at an open house recently and four days later called and wanted to work with me.  Two other agents ignored them, never returning their calls for help.....thank goodness!

I inherited them instead and took them out on their first showings.  After only 5 showings, they knew they had found the perfect place.  (Too easy).  All the while we had a blast working together while I educated these young first time buyers and I LOVED their sense of humor and practical joking.

The contract was radified in only four days!  And when my printer wouldn't work, my new software had kinks, they did all the running around to get the job done for me without me asking.

The clients on the other end are just as cooperative and fun too.  Times like this being a Realtor is no where near being a job, but a shear pleasure you don't forget.

I thank those agents who didn't return their calls :)

I get that alot too, Sharon.  People are so thankful when I return their call, stating I was the first out of many agents to even bother.  I wonder where the rest are, maybe at their other job?

Sharon - some agents think these first time home buyers are wasting their time. Not me, I love first time home buyers! I just sold a home to a young man after showing him 6 homes in one afternoon.

I sold a townhouse to a lovely couple that said I was the only agent that kept in touch with them.  We were in touch via email for several months, but once they made a couple of trips to the area, they chose their new home, wrote a contract and the rest is history!

Other agents not returning call is one of the reasons why I work floor so often. We get frustrated buyer calls all the time because the agent they called initially didn't respond. Why not? Oh well, you and I are there for them! :)

I love it!  I am always in "ah" of how many times I hear clients say "You're the best, you keep in touch, you care, you enjoy what you're doing.  Isn't it hat WE want from someone we work with?  Why did all the others not return our calls?  Why do agents who were highly recommended not give us the time of day?  When you care and make a mistake, your clients trust that you wil take care of it and never get upset or angry.  Customer Service is what I want myself, so I will give.

I relocated a professional football coach and his family and then the agents in my office asked how I got this guy?  Three agents did not return their calls when they had 3 days to find a place.  Luckily, my fellow clients were not on that list of "Do Not Call".  They would have taken the call.  But you never know who you are going to get.  My current client I spoke of in my post is an actress who has had bit pieces in spokey movies!

I suppose if those agents who thought they weren't going to be profitable had known this, they would have returned the call?  Thanks for your feedback ladies.
