This has happened too many times to me as well. I'll start by asking "What's new?" :) So far, I've received and answer with info info that I'm able to put 2 and 2 together!  Rob, you're not alone!!

Yep...stall and ask enough questions until I 'catch on' -- if I run out of clues, I just ask them.

Rob, happens to me much more then I care to admit. It's really a test when it's a pretty face and my wife is with me. She wants to know who that was and I don't have a clue. Thank God she is just teasing me and is not really the jealous kind.

I guess I would tell them I had a head injury and a little bit of amnesia and ask them for their name. Otherwise, I would just remind them I was a blonde and ask for their name again.

How about, "here's one of my new business cards". See if they respond and give one to you.  If not they will have your name and number to call if they need real estate advice.

I think this may be more common that we all want to believe.  I have people say hello and mention my name almost every day and I often have no clue who they are.  I just smile and ask them how they're doing and the conversation usually gives a clue to who they are. 

Good to know that I am not the onl one experiencing this unwanetd situations! I keep asking questions till I finally know who they are. If not, I try to make my escape!

Rob, I do a lot of antique shows and vintage car shows.  When people call me by name, I try to ascertain where we met.  I have to be honest right up front...there are too many possibilities.

Yes, been there!  Another thing that drives me crazy is when I see someone that I think I know but can't figure out where I know them from.
