Its time for the September real estate market report for Madison County. I love all the great feedback I receive on the reports and I plan to continue sending them out so you will know how our market is performing during the month.
Here we are ready to recap our Madison County statistics for the month of September as of October 6, 2007. I am very excited to report that there were 609 homes sold in Madison County during the month of September!!! WOO HOO!! There are also 433 pending sales in Madison County. You never know what the market may do from one day to the next so it is good that we are still doing well!!
Almost half of the homes sold (244 or 40%) in Madison County were sold in Huntsville. For the month of September, our county saw an average time on the market of 90 days. Last month there was an average of 82 days so there was a slight increase. The average selling price this month was $189,839 which has increased from $172,207 this month last year. The median selling price was $163,000. September sales totaled $98,384,352. WOW!!
