Nature's Beauty - Outdoors and In!

Every day, at this time of year, there seems to be another spectacular gift from nature to delight the eye. The beautiful weeping cherry tree on my neighbor's lawn greets me each morning as I sit near the window with my laptop and cup of coffee.

Nature's Beauty

It is a delicate little tree, covered in pretty blossoms early in Spring and then in fine green leaves throughout the Summer months. It's like having a fresh bouquet given to me every single day.

Nature's Beauty

And indoors, my collections of flowering plants is responding madly and profusely to the lengthening days. Most of them have blossoms or buds, and I enjoy tending them and seeing how they glow for the brief time when the morning sun shines directly on them.

For the rest of the day, they have bright, indirect natural light, which is what they seem to like best and thrive upon. I feel lucky and quite blessed to have my orchids blooming, both because the flowers are exquisite and because they last for so long - more than a month after opening!

Where do you find nature's beauty around you?

Gorgeous!  Don''t you just love springtime?  I just brought in some fragrant flowers off a bush in our front yard (no clue what plant it is!), and the smell is carrying all though the house.  So wonderful!

Hi Rhonda - Yes, I do!!  How wonderful that you have a flowering bush with such a great scent. There's nothing like that freshness all through the house. Enjoy!

Hi Valerie - I LOVE that image!  Very funny! I guess over the years I've absorbed a few tips and techniques that work for my plants. It probably helps that I love them so much! They're feeling the love - that's it!

Judy,

From what I can tell from the pictures, I think in Toronto we are about 3 weeks behind you.
