Red Bridge in South Kansas City
Red Bridge subdivision is South Kansas City's largest subdivision with 648 homes. It offers the best of what Kansas City has to offer - a suburban lifestyle just a heartbeat from all of the action in the Waldo and Brookside areas - and one of our best kept secrets - Martin City with it's local businesses and restaurants along 135th St. The area south of 103rd St is generally known as the Red Bridge area, but this is the actual neighborhood running from 108th to 118th St. between Wornall and just east of Holmes Rd. Jump onto I-435 at 104th & Holmes to get anywhere in the metropolitan area within 15-20 minutes at the most.
The housing styles range from (typically) 3 Bedroom Ranches, Split-levels and are in the 40+ year old age bracket. Prices are extremely affordable starting in the low - mid $100's. The Center School District schools offer sports and other after school extracurricular activities for the youngsters.
The biggest benefit of where Red Bridge subdivision is located is the access to many locally owned businesses within 5 minutes of the subdivision. The Red Bridge Shops at Holmes and Red Bridge Road offers a movie theater, 2 workout facilities (including a Curves), Lipari's Sunfresh grocery store (with a customer service oriented owner, George). Hungry? A quick lunch can be in order at Young's Deli. If you're having a breakfast meeting, or a coffee date - Dunn Bros Coffee may be just the place to meet.
Other highlights:
The Minor Park Golf Course sits on the east side of Red Bridge and Holmes Rd.
The YMCA on 113th & Red Bridge Rd. features a popular pool and exercise classes.
The Mid Continent Library is in the red Bridge Shops.
The locally owned neighborhood self car wash is convenienty located along Red Bridge Rd.

Animal lovers will find plenty of options - from a local Veteranarian, pet grooming spot and plenty of public places to walk a dog (including our lovely winding streets).
Indian Creek Trail is a favorite spot for walking, running, bicycles...and just observing nature at it's most natural.

You can always tell solid neighborhoods by where businesses want to locate. 2 CVS pharmacies are in the area, as is OfficeMax. Now, can you really judge a neighborhood by the fast food (or convenient, quick restaurants)? If so, how do you explain Burger King, Sonic, McDonald's, Subway, Waids, Panera's...and a few more within 5 minutes of home sweet home? Okay, we have a wonderful newer Mexican restaurant, Dos Hombres and a sweet Italian restaurant with local owners, too.
This is it! A neighborhood that you can call home. A place where every convenience is just blocks away. Neighbors are active and involved in what's going on. The Homes Association meets regularly and keeps up to date about what is going on with the city council. They send representatives to the Monthly Center Planning & Development Council (umbrella organization of the southwest neighborhood groups) Meetings where the 6th District councilmembers offer updates about the area and developers get neighborhood input. The benefit of living in Red Bridge subdivision in Kansas City is that you can choose to get as involved as you'd like. Or, simply enjoy the convenient lifestyle that is Red Bridge.
