I posted on my blog on Friday afternoon about my inability to separate my work from my personal life. I got a couple of great responses, which I was excited about. Then I got a few more. I thought it was strange that I was getting so many responses when I normally only get 1-3 comments. Then it hit me - I think this must have been featured!
Normally, when you write a blog post, you are on the first page of the blog feed for a minute or so before you get pushed on to page two. At that point, all hope is lost that anyone will see your post unless they specifically search for the topic you wrote about. I quickly went to the blog feed and scrolled down. Nope, not there! I went to the "featured" link and scrolled down, and there I was, just a few posts down. Yay! It was my first featured post and I felt so special!
