A reminder to those in the area about this Saturday’s Lake Oconee Food & Wine Festival.
Who doesn't enjoy the chance to drink wine for hours on end without judgement!? Not to mention the incredible opportunities for networking. It’s not too late to get tickets but you don’t want to wait until the last minute as last year’s event sold out! The Landing at Reynolds Plantation hosts the event this year from 5-8 p.m. For $50 you can enjoy over 100 premium wines, food from local restaurants such as Aubri Lanes of Milledgeville and Troutdale at Harbor Club, both silent and live auctions, as well as live entertainment.
New to this years event is the Vintner Dinner being held on Friday, May 13th in the Linger Longer Ballroom at the Oconee Clubhouse. Chef Yann Chupin (whose edible masterpieces I had the pleasure of tasting) of the Ritz-Carlton Lodge and Maision Louis Latour will be on site cooking and pairing an incredible menu for those who would like to join. Tickets for this event are $200 per person. Seating for the Vintner Dinner is limited so call (706)453-9243 to reserve your spot.
Last years auction included fantastic prizes like an ETON Beamer Series Scooter, a 7 night stay at the Grand Mayan Resort & Spa, a California Wine Country Giveaway, a Down Home Pig Roast for you and 50 of your closest friends and family, and much, much more! No doubt with the succes generated last year that this Saturday's auction will not disappoint!
For tickets to the wine festival you can order them online, at The Oconee Cellar next to Publix, or Classic Wines in the Village Commerce Center.
