How To Hide "Recent Activity" On Facebook

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Supernova Media

Are you tired of Facebook recording ALL your activity on your profile wall? Want to clean it up a bit?  How about a bit more privacy?

FINALLY - Facebook has added a new feature that enables users to hide their recent Facebook activity from other users, a feature that many have wanted for years.

All you need to do is visit your profile and begin hiding the various story types that you don’t want others to see.

Say, for example, that you don’t want others to see the comments that you write your friends’ profiles on Facebook. Scroll down through your profile until you see one of your previous comments and click on the “X.”

Facebook will then prompt you with a confirmation box, to make sure that you really want to hide all comments (which you probably do). Just click “Hide All”, and now all your comments will be hidden.

Simply continue to hide all recent activities on events you’ve RSVPed to, or any other recent activity types that you want to hide.

NOTE - You can do the same thing with "Questions Activity" and "Likes Activity".

If you want to modify these settings at any time (and re-display content that was previously hidden), you can scroll down to the bottom of your profile feed and click on “Edit Options.” At that point the following dialog box will pop up:

You can then make any changes that you’d like!

If you have Facebook questions, pop on over to our Facebook page. We respond promptly to all questions!

Happy Facebooking!

Ahhh Michelle, I was disappointed to find that this feature "hiding activity from the newsfeed" is no longer available with Facebook. You can however, control which information you "see" in the newsfeed by scrolling all the way down on the home page (in the newsfeed) and clicking edit options.
