Living Green in Rockland County NY - May 15, 2011 Environmental Day
Rockland County's Solid Waste management Authority is sponsoring an Environmental Day on May 15, 2011 from 11:00 to 4:00, rain or shine at their facility on Torne Valley Road in Hillburn. Admission is FREE and a great family day is planned. You'll have a chance to tour the recycling center and see where your grabage and recyclables go.
Do you know how to turn leaves, grass and food waste into compost?
Do you know how to properly dispose of household hazardous materials?
Come find out the answers to these and more.
There will be giveaways, green products, locally grown plants and produce, music and food. It'll be a chance to speak with "Green" exhibitors and learn how to improve your environment the green way.
Balloon artists, face painting, a bounce castle, storytelling, puppet chows, crafts and games will be available to entertain the kids. So bring the whole family and lets learn how to Live Green In Rockland County.
