I spent an hour today helping a friend in the financial sector film a short commercial. The ad will air on the internet most likely on YouTube and select social networking sites. It was fun to be a part of this type of marketing campaign. I have always thought that I could hack it in Hollywood and I am sure if you asked the camera man, Chad Sylvester (www.praxisprostudios.com), he would agree!
The spot includes me "acting" as a real estate investor and Brett Kelly of Keller Williams Realty Maine playing his role as my buyer's agent (www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/brett/kelly). In the short I am discussing the purchase of a particular investment property and the idea of purchasing the property with cash invested through my self-directed IRA. The investment firm NUA Advisors, represented in the ad, specializes in both traditional and non-traditional investments. Non-traditional investing, such as purchasing investment real estate with a self-directed IRA, is one of their areas of expertise.
