One of the most well known beaches in Naples is located on 12th Avenue South, between Broad Avenue and 13th Avenue South. It is just West of the shoppes downtown 3rd Street South and in the heart of Old Naples. This beach is the Naples Pier.
The pier is a hot spot for both visitors and locals alike with lots of parking for both pay to park and parking stickers. There is a lot for parking as well as street parking. If you'd like a bit of exercise you can park on one of the many side streets on any of the avenues within a few blocks and walk to this great historic site. Many enjoy coming here because of the restrooms, showers, and food available.
You can spend some time shopping nearby, going to a local cafe or restaurant, or enjoy food from the little cafe on the pier. This has been a great spot for all the daytime sunbathing, shell hunting, skimboarding, sandcastle building, and family beach fun. Enjoy some beach vollyball on the sand court or just enjoy a nice stroll down the pier.
Sunset and evening are also great times to come enjoy the beauty of the pier. Watch fishermen catching the sea life or join them in the fun. View the dolphins jumping in the distance or the colorful sky of sunset. Sit on a bench and stargaze while listening to the waves lap on the shoreline.
Although it's great to visit the pier, you might want to look into one of the many Naples condos in the area to call your home. Then, the joy of the pier could be nearly in your backyard.
