Business Tip of the week

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty ~ 512.750.6899

letterCandy Buzan with Prime Lending right here in Austin, Texas has an awesome business letter that she emails.  Several weeks ago she sent out a Business Tip for the week which I still have sitting on my desk and I made time today to make sure I implement her advice:

Two of the most powerful words in business are "Thank You".  Let your customers and employees know how much you appreciate them.  Say "Thank-You" often. Even better, write them a note - not an email, text or tweet, but an old-fashioned handwritten, personal note!

I composed 3 personal notes already today to vendors thanking them for their service...you know what? It felt good!

Dorie - I with you - regardless of all the technology we have with just one click of a button, sometimes there's no substitution for a good old fashioned snail mail thank you note. I've had my son write them after Christmas and birthdays since her could write. Always nice to take the time to properly thank people!

Dorie ~  This is great advice -- I once got a new development as a partial result of sending the Developer a hand-written Thank You Note after our meeting.

The power of a personal note can not be underestimated, especially when it's a thank you for a job well done.

Dorie,

I agree with this simple, yet rarely done gesture, to give back to your customers.  Thank you for your blog... g

my Mother made sure I learned the art of hand written thank you notes at an early age.  We have moved away from this and it really makes an impact when someone receives a hand written note in this day and time.
