Impressionist & Post-Impressionist Art on loan at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.  When I was at The Houston Galleria yesterday I happened to notice this poster.  I think I will try to go see the artwork before they close the exhibit on May 23rd.

I want to say this is a Saurat, but I'm not certain.  I hope they have some Monets and Manets on exhibit.  I think I saw two of Monet's Water Lily oil paintings on exhibit a few years ago at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth.   They were really lovely.

Van Gogh

This is a self portrait of Vincent van Gogh.  I hope to see many more great works of art at the MFAH.

Liz, I hope you can make it to this exhibit.  I just love impressionist art from that period and other local impressionistic art as well.  Van Gogh's colors are simply wonderful and to see the thickness of the paint on his canvases is so amazing.  Too bad he did not know the impact he would have on the world with his art.

Liz, I'm glad you posted this reminder! I have been planning to go see the Impressionist exhibition, but haven't gotten there yet. I'm definitely going to make it there before May 23.
