Last Seen in Anderson Lake:

Over 1,200 trout planted in early April. They are about 11-13 inches long, have scales, and a wide eyed look. If you live in LakeLand Village head on down to the waterand see if you can spy one or two. They have been settling in and trying tofind the best hiding spots in the lake for the last few weeks.

Residents inLakeLand Village were given the green light to begin fishing April 13th andmany have been spotted on the docks taking full advantage of the opportunity.

On anothernote LakeLand Village has been doing an ample job of attracting ALL kinds ofwildlife in the last several weeks. Residents have been asked to take downtheir garbage in the morning and not leave it out overnight due to Bearsightings in the area. They have also been asked not to leave food out for thewildlife as it tends to encourage Coyotes, Raccoons and Bears to visit.

Speaking offeeding, some of us have become frustrated to see all of our new flowers pop upjust to become a late night snack for our resident deer. One way to make yourplants unappetizing is to spray "Deer Off." It smells wretched butdoes the trick. My neighbors tie Irish Spring soap crumbled up in little netsto the tastiest of the vegetation in their yard and the Deer seem to justwander past without a second thought.

It seemsthat no matter the day or time of year we are blessed to live in LakeLandVillage, a beautiful area that many could only dream about. So as the cloudspart their ways and the sunny days seem like they will stretch on forever grabyour pole and head down to the lake and hook a couple of trout for your supper.Or take a leisurely stroll after dinner and watch the Deer and Bunnies hoparound the grounds or the Eagles soaring above. It is going to be a GreatSummer!

Welcome back to the Rain...your description makes me both want to fish and run and hide from the bears! I've always been terrified of bears! LOL!

Hi there stranger!  I'll have to remember that trick with the soap.  We don't have deer at my house but good information to share.

Hi Dinah, it's nice to live where we can experience nature and not just read about it. We see a lot of wildlife here, no bears thank goodness, but the Mt lion population has really been growing over the last 5 years. Seems funny as we don't have any mountains.

Hi Dinah,

A delightful description of a local area.

A few pictures would make it even more interesting and readable

Very nice
