SMM Camp a couple of days ago

Well, I attended my second 3 hour webinar on SMMCamp and it was another stellar day for learning more about social networking,  These guys KNOW their stuff. They talk about all the social media sites and it's been a really interesting eye opening experience.  Just trying to put all that into action is my problem.  I am stumped on a few of the venues, but hopefully, after recieving the complete program with any luck at all I will find time to begin integgrating all the good info they provide.  It's awesome when you hear someone talk about "paying it forward."  That to me, is someone really trying to help us out in our businesses.  I know my business has suffered a lot in the past couple of years due to the horrible real estate market and all I can say is thank God I know how to do short sales!!!  It was worth the huge investment I made to learn that stuff.  So far, only 1 out of about 40 have NOT closed.  So...I hope you all get a chance to get on this webinar.... it truly is amazing.

Hi, Laura.

I thoroughly enjoy and benefit from the SMM Camps.    Unfortunately, I was called on business over the last few days and just could not put in the time for this week's camp.

Perhaps Ross Hair et al will have a PDF or some other recorded format so that I can catch up on it this weekend.

Laura, how long is the camp (total # of days and hours involved)?  It sounds interesting.  I've never heard of it before?

This was just a 3 hour webinar online but he has a whole course that is LOADED with tons of good stuff for social media and marketing for business. He shows how to get leads, get involved in all the social media groups, etc.  SUCH an enormous amount of great info, it's just hard and takes time to do it all, but hopefully, with time, I will make it.  Try to keep a watch for his webinars which are 3 hours long - but I get there - no matter what. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.  The guy that puts all the experts together is ross hair.  You can go to his site and get some info.

Good luck to you!!

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the the info.

Unfortunately I missed this one (I was teaching a new member class that day myself at out board) yet from what I've heard it was a good one.

In your case if  "So far, only 1 out of about 40 have NOT closed" I'd say you have a pretty good short sale record!

It really was a great session.  I couldn't even write fast enough.  I hope you can perhaps make it to the next one.  Seems they'll be having them often.

Regarding the short sale that did not close, what I found out was that they paid $313,000 at the Trustee Sale - I was shocked.  And 2 weeks later it was relisted with some other company for $179,000, so it was VERY clear to me that even though I had submitted 6 offers over the course of 18 months, these guys were not gonna take any less than what was owed as they KNEW they'd get the govt. bail out money - which to me, really stinks.  They don't consider how hard the agents work and the time and effort associated with this.  I had 6t FULL pages of calls to B of A I'd made over the 18 months. As much as I know how to do this, they were NEVER going to take ANY offer.  Market value was only 169,000 or so and even after they listed it at 179000, it took them over 8 months to resell the unit.  So....our government has NOT helped in a few instances.  I was really NOT happy about this.  Hope you get what you need and thanks for the post.  Laura
