Stapleton Block Party Day is May 14th - Denver, CO
Every year blocks, or even entire filings, across the Stapleton neighborhood come together to throw wonderful block parties. I live in the area NE of the new Denver Rec Center (Filing 12) and we have one of the largest block parties around.
The Filing 12 Block Party is such a success in part to several small business owners who live on the streets that line the "finger parks" and provide the following food/drink/amenities:
- Urban Mattress - Fun station with inflatable slide
- Universal Lending - Beer station
- Knop Home Team - Nathan's Hot-dogs
- Live Green Stapleton - Juice boxes, water and soda
But what reallly makes the party great are the neighbors. Especially Crystal and Andy Stephen, who design the flyer and publicize the event, Jason Wise, who is the perennial DJ, and Ken Greenfield, who supplies the power for the sounds.
Anyone who would like to join us, the party starts at 3:00 and will be held on the Summer Park!
