Hello to the ActiveRain community!
I have been on board with ActiveRain for six weeks, and I have to say I am having a blast. I have been developing web applications for the past fifteen years, but ActiveRain already stands out at the top of all the places I have worked. Often times in a technical position you can find yourself as nothing more than the guy behind the keyboard, but that has not been the case here at all. I definitely have some exciting development work on my plate, and I love that. But Niki Parekh is really encouraging me to get involved with everyone at ActiveRain, and that is what I am most looking forward to. It's going to be a lot of fun working directly with this community and doing everything we can to continue moving ActiveRain forward together.
A little about me:
Over the last few years I have lived all over the place, from the East Coast all the way to Hawaii. My wife and I moved to Seattle last year, and of everywhere we have lived this area is the first place that has everything we are looking for: family, the ocean, mountains, a great arts community and cool people in every direction. I think we're here to stay.
When I'm not nerding it up and programming, you will probably find me either with my wife in the climbing gym, or somewhere working on a short film project. Our 95 pound Rottweiler therapy dog Elise is always in tow.
It's great to be here and I'm looking forward to jumping in to the ActiveRain community and getting to know you all better!
