Bunco!  I was lucky enough to remain on the list of subs in my former neighborhood for the Bunco group.  Our group consisted of loyal woman who watched out for each other as neighbors.  It was always nice to catch up, but Bunco Gameespecially this time.  You see, I sold my home November, 2009 as it was feeling pretty empty with all the kids gone.  I decided to live more simply, but that meant leaving my neighborhood of 12 years.

Lucky for me I already downsized once in 2006, but really needed to downsize again.  It was a tough decision as I loved my neighborhood and have sold many homes there as well.  So, happily I went to Bunco this past Tuesday.  We started out the same, chatting, eating, and drinking wine and our host's amazing mango tini's!  But this time there was an added benefit.

The benefit this time was that a neighbor needs to sell her  home. And guess who she's going to hire.  Me!  Thanks to being in the right place at the right time, I'll getMaravilla, Scottsdale the listing.  Of course it helps that I've been very visible in the neighborhood and know all the details of the area.

She's busy painting and making changes getting it ready to sell.  I'm looking forward to holding open houses, which I usually don't.  But this time, I'll invite the neighborhood so they can work to help me sell it and maybe they'll find a replacement neighbor in the process.

Now more than ever it pays to be visible.  You have to be there"

I'm so looking forward to waving at the neighbors again. Too bad it's going to be too warm to bake cookies!

So coming soon - contact me for details on this 4274 sq ft beauty!

Jan that sounds like a great gals night out - and the lady is lucky you happened to go that night. Now she'll get great service from somebody who knows the neighborhood.  I miss my bunko gals!  Our group was all brokers - so it was a pretty wild and funny bunch with crazy re stories (after a little wine)!

I have no idea how to play Bunco, but my mother is a sub in her neighborhood so the title caught my attention.  Congrats on getting the listing.  I am not a fan of open houses either, but in this case I think it's a great idea to gather the ladies for support!

Bunco is such a fun, mindless game and it's perfect for a ladies group.  We start with rolling for "1's" and count each.  If you don't roll a 1, then the play goes to the next person.  If you roll a 1, you keep rolling until you don't roll a 1.  Pretty mindless.  You have partners and the winners either stay or move to another table and the play continues with the next number.  When I played in Alabama it was fierce because they play for keeps and the prizes are great.  Here in Scottsdale, it's not so serious, and more about catching up with your neighbors.  All great fun though!  And it creates opportunities to be asked "How's the market?"
