Can a Northern Virginia Short Sale Agent Take Time to Relax and "Get Centered?"
My chosen field of selling residential real estate in Northern Virginia has become increasingly like a pressure cooker. Just like the frog that you could put into a pot of lukewarm water would not realize the temp change to boiling, the increase in stress has been a slow building progression with me that I didn't notice until recently. So, this afternoon, I took some MUCH needed time to "get centered." I met with a friend who works in meditation, shakras, auras and healing. I'll try anything to find my internal zen.
What a great ninety minutes! I left so relaxed and energized. And it's a good thing. I was running late for a listing appointment. Got that done and then found out I just had some pages on my Buyer's offer from the day before that came needed initialing. And since there's a line around the block of agents and their buyers wanting this house, I had to get those intials ASAP.
Another voicemail from Wells Fargo informed me that a Short Sale Contract I JUST SUBMITTED, is being sent for a decision and I should have an answer by the end of next week.
Yet more voicemails from buyer upon buyer that all want to see, or get more information about a property I have listed. I can't possible represent them all, that's why I have a Buyer's Agent bench. But my bench is overworked as it is, so I had to scramble to match these unrepresented buyers with fantastic Buyer's Agents that will be available to help them.
All that and a lot of details, too boring to mention but stressful nonetheless AND I have to clean the house from top to bottom to meet some of my husband's relatives that will be in town tomorrow. Wow...it sure did feel good to have ninety minutes of bliss and total peace. Now...back to work.
