Moving back home to Dunwoody Georgia

Real Estate Agent with Harry Norman, Realtors 333356

As a Realtor specializing in the suburbs of North Atlanta, I constantly meet young people who want to move back home to Dunwoody, Georgia.  There is just something about the older homes, and the big lawns with plenty of shade trees that make most people feel welcome.  Dunwoody is a quiet and very conservative small town just minutes north of the activity in downtown Atlanta or the community of Buckhead.  It is a safe, clean and charming town to raise a family.

I must admit how surprised I have been by the number of young people asking me to find them a home in the area.  Most of the high school graduates around here can't wait to get out; such as hometown favorite; Ryan Seacrest.  But after a few years away and a few years to mature and even a few more years to have a family; these high school renegades want to come back.

I am amazed that so many of them want a traditional brick home with four bedrooms, an open staircase and a foyer!  Moving back home to Dunwoody, Georgia means remodeling, restoring and updating but these young families don't seem to mind.  In fact, HGTV seems to be their favorite "how-to" network and most are eager to get started with the sledge-hammer!

It is actually a wonderful trend to see those raised in Dunwoody actually returning to raise "their" family in some of the same neighborhoods.  For more information on Dunwoody, Georgia and the surrounding communities in North Atlanta; please check-out: www.JohnHMason.com

John,

There is definitely "something special" about Dunwoody.  My mom was raised in Dunwoody, and my grandparents still live in Dunwoody (they recently sold their home in Dunwoody Club Forest to one of the young families that you speak of, and they're moving just down Mt. Vernon to a different community).  I work in Sandy Springs (Abernathy) but I have commercial listings in Peachtree Corners; on the days that I must travel from my office on Abernathy to my properties in Peachtree Corners, I'm fortunate enough to drive through the Eastern portion of Sandy Springs and almost all of Dunwoody.  What a drive!...especially during the beautiful summer months.

Best of luck to you,

Brandon
