Friday Fotos  - Art Deco Pop Corn Stand Becomes an Art Gallery

I took this photo while visiting one of the most charming parks in my area, Glen Echo Park in Maryland. The park was established in 1890s as an amusement park, and this building originally served as a refreshment stand.

Today, the Pop Corn building serves as a gallery for art exhibits. The park is home to many art galleries and studios for local artists.

Hello Elizabeth and I saw this post around 30 minutes ago and then it was gone, you must have been reworking it because it's back and I love the 50s or Art Deco era!

Lindsey - there are more great buildings at the park. I will post more photos in the future.

Lloyd - sounds like you have great memories of Jamaica. It's funny how certain images bring flood of memories in us.

VB - I forgot to put the title - that's why the photo was gone temporarily. Thank you for stopping by.

Elizabeth, It looks more like a restaurant than a gallery but that makes it unique.

Marchel - this is rather unusual art gallery but definitely fun to visit. Even kids want to go inside.

I could relate to the previous photo.  Jamaica is the most beautiful place on earth. You've got to experience it.
