Good morning, Debbie...it's very important to select the right type of tile for each area in your home....the wrong type of tile on the floor can lead to accidents happening....

    Good morning Debbie,

I love my tile in the our bathrooms, but prefer DURACERAMIC in my kitchen. Do you sell this product as well in your store?

Barbara - Yes, and tile is very hard and expensive to remove.

Michele - Oh, yes, the luxury vinyl is really great, too.  Yes, we do sell that, but a different brand.

Deb - question for you: I've always wanted a white kitchen with white carrara marble and a gray slate floor. What do you think about slate and how well does it hold up? (You are me go-to girl for all things flooring and know you'd know if this would work or not!)

Well I think a slate look could be good, but you might prefer a porcelain that looks like slate. Slate tends to have a lot of roughness and it's easier to trip on vs. porcelain. Plus, slate is a bit harder to maintain and a bit harder on your feet. There are several porcelains that look very much like slate, so I would consider those, and it will prob. save you a bit of money. However, I would seriously caution you about the white carrara for a kitchen. it's soft and porous and needs to be resealed often and can stain easily. Also, it can look a bit common since it's used so often as saddles for bathrooms. If you like the white/clean look, you may want to consider a pure white silestone or something like that which will hold up better (or granite which I love, but hard to find the color you are looking for in granite. White subway tile backsplash could look stunning with it. By the way, we just did this look (using Daltile Continental Slate porcelain - the greenish slate one) w/ all white kitchen in Westport and it was a great combo. I wish I had pictures.
