Today all we hear in the news is the big profits oil companies are making. They should not have the same tax breaks other business have because they made too much money. Excuse me? How much is too much? I heard some one on the radio call in saying that no one should make more then 2 million dollars a year. Does he not realize he is in the United States of America?
Let's take this another step forward. Suppose you made a lot of money selling, marketing Real Estate. Should we change the rules for you? Maybe take away your deductions? How will that effect your next years business? Do we need different tax rules for different folks?
Should we take away your tax breaks because the government spent too much money and now it needs more taxes? How about cutting spending? I've been hearing for over 50 years that a small tax increase would take care of the problem. If that were so, then why has it not stopped?
The tax code for business deduction and investments should remain equal for everyone.
Don't punish the achievers. Why can't we be glad people are being successful?
