The Oak Bay (Victoria) Half Marathon this Morning

The Oak Bay Half Marathon begins at 8 am this morning in the centre of Oak Bay's shopping area, with a scenic ocean route part of the way.

Two new charities have been added this year: The BC Cancer Foundation and Kidsport Victoria have joined the fundraising spirit. The current charigy Help Fill a Dream Foundation will mark the launch of the Pledge Teams.

There are draw prizes and monetary awards.

Unfortunately there is a little rain coming down, although I guess some people like running in a drizzle.

Good luck and have fun to all participants and onlookers.

Kathy - That's very interesting ... I never knew about the three H's, but on reflection I now realise that's the way many of the sports events are held.
