As we were finishing-up signing the listing agreement, this morning, on yet another referral I'd received from an Active Rain member (thank you Judy Greenberg, I'll be sure to take good care of him), the seller stopped for a moment, looked up from the paperwork, and he said to me:
"I'm sure you've heard this before... Your prompt and concise e-mails, texts and returned phone calls are a real pleasure."
I think I'm pretty good at returning phone calls quickly, and I wear my smart-phone on my belt, and return e-mails and texts promptly... and I've had clients compliment me before on just how responsive I am... but I'd never heard it put quite that nicely before.
It's really nice to get that kind of feedback from a client. From someone who'd been considering whether or not to list with me. He didn't say so, but clearly, my responsiveness, my clarity and tone of voice in my communications with him must have been one of the facets that he'd used in making that decision.
It's nice to know when you're doing something right. People are so quick to tell you when they're upset, when you're doing something wrong, but they often don't speak up when you're doing something right.
I may have heard it before... but I'm more than willing to listen again. .... and again. .... and again.
Now, let's sell your house.
