The War and Politics

By
Home Inspector with Comprehensive Building Inspections & Consultants

Not too long ago, I posted what I thought was a joke regarding politics. I felt that it ended up offending a few people, so I deleted it.

Someone sent this to me and I am posting it for all to read. Please understand, I am not questioning anybody's rights as far as political views and I am not trying to offend anyone. I have my opinions and you have yours. That is what is beautiful about America.

I do agree with quite abit of the information in the post. I realize when people or political party's by name are singled out, it may be offensive to those that support them. It also mentions things that bother me too. Some of which I admit are true, whether I like to or not.

From this point on, copied and pasted.

This is a good one.  Only time will tell who is right about this one, but it makes a lot of sense.

No matter your politics, you owe it to yourself to read and pass on so we all are informed of what's
going on in our world!

Another assessment of where the US stands in relation to the Middle East problems, this one is
from the guy who had his finger on the nuclear trigger for three years as head of our defense and
response complex buried under Cheyenne Mountain at Colorado Springs. He was the only person who could initiate a nuclear attack after advising the sitting president of a missile launch by our enemies and our need to respond. No political or civilian type in the US had more knowledge about day to day military actions around the world.  Everyone should find quiet time to read this. As far as I am concerned, it is exactly the direction we should go and the consequences of not doing so are well thought out.

Steven,

It took guts to post that.  I don't agree with everything in the post, but I do agree with most of it.  Thankfully, differing opinions are allowed in this country.

Ken,

I don't agree with everything in the post either, but it sure gives one plenty to think about.

Steve and Ken,

I agree with the primary point - we must win, or we have a lot of changing to do.  Unfortunately, we have become a country of whiners, and will not do either until something is forced upon us - either another 9-11 type terrorist attack or worse - the pumps down at the corner gas station run dry.

It really isn't important whether you agree with all of the post or not. What is important is if you believe that our enemies want us dead and will not stop trying to achieve their goals. They do not care about who they kill or how many die... including their own.

Since we are so careful not to kill innocent bystanders, we and up sacrificing our own soldiers and not killing their murderous killers. They laugh at this and use it against us.

Years ago, when Golda Meir was the prime minister of Israel, she was asked "when would there be peace?", her response was "there will not be peace until our enemies love thier children more than they hate us."

I wish our enemies loved their children more than they hate us.

I am not an advocate of killing innocent, but until we decide that this is a war of life or death, our soldiers will continue to die. We have weapons that could end this war very quickly, but yet we fight with our hands tied behind our backs.

Now Iran is building a nuclear bomb. Who do you think they are building it for?

I had a customer from Iran recently that began questioning the intelligence of the American people.

Yes I had countrpoints that are the same as you would give.(but here are a random sampling of her thoughts.)

She was a Polymer engineer who claimed she came here to see our educational system.

Your country's educational system is way behind that of ours or Europes.

The only reason you are still a world power is your military always attacking.

Why should we not have Nuclear Power as you have it

Who elected your country police of the world.

Most of your people think they are free , but have no idea what freedom is.

Your news is all propoganda to encourage war.

Makes you think as this is how they see us.

First I want you to know you have the right to any opinjon you want and the freedom to say or write them. Being a Veteran I Served the U.S. and Fought many of our enemys. Serving in the Special Forces. So each and every American could have that right.

The one main thing we have to do is fight how the enemy fights. We can not go by rules seen the they never do. We have to just go in and take them out.

Thank you for posting this.

Have a good one
