I am so stressed! Looking at the first page of blogs on AR, I see so many that I would love to read and respond, but it is already 8:00 pm. When can I read them all and get into some of the discussions?
How do you find time to read them? How many do you read a day? How much time do you devote to blogging and AR in particular?
I feel a bit guilty delaying my marketing activities such as notes, popbys, and mailing because I am busy on the computer.
If only there was more time in a day!!!
You can always sacrifice sleep, personal grooming, and cleaning the garage.
Simone - I just make time for AR everyday and consider it part of my marketing plan! You can't read them all, but I have found a group of like-minded bloggers and subscribe to their blogs. This helps me narrow down my time on AR.
I also write my post early in the morning or late at night, save to draft and the change to public early in the morning - hope this help. BTW - blogging regularly on Active Rain has put me at the top of page one of Google so I can completely justify my time spent here!
I know it can be very overwhelming when you have so much to do during the day. However, I am addicted to activerain now and I look at it as learning something from other agents so it motivates me to read the blogs.
I know it is hard to know who to read, but I just subscribe to the ones that I feel are very beneficial to me one way or another and I try to read those ever day.
Very often I will comment on a blog because I want to be able to refer back to it quickly and it appears under my "comments"... I spend about an hour a day on AR.

The fact is, you cannot read them all.
Subscribe to AR members who routinely offer good material.
Look at Featured Posts and the AR Daily Drop email to find interesting stuff, and consider subscribing to members who show up with good content.
But the bottom line is you cannot read them all.
I, like so many others, spend a certain amount of time on the computer and know it is part of my marketing besides a learning experience and just being fun. It has also made me a better writer to boot.
Leslie, true, but I cannot sacrifice gardening and runing around from one nursery to another looking for special herbs, veggies and fruit trees.
Kristine, it is great that blogging put you on the 1st page on Google. People pay a lot to get that and are not assured to be there.
Lise, precisely, I am missing that learning if I do not get to read the posts I want to read!
Debra, I choose based on the subject, though I have a list of bloggers I used to follow.
Liz, I like that idea. I used to copy the blogs I wanted to remember.
Mike, I did not really mean that I want to read them all. But there are just more blogs that I would like to read than time to read them.
Mary, getting better at writing is a huge advantage. I am considering blogging marketing and education. Regardless, it leaves me less time for the regular marketing I should be doing. With time, I will get better at doing more with less time.
It can be tough to select which blogs to read as there are so many great posts and writers. It often requires the poster to utilize catchy titles and a good brief introduction to catch the prospective reader's eye.
