Sometimes it is the little things you do. Maybe not an intentional thing. An impulsive thought. Sharing a moment. But you never know who is listening to you. Or if what you say makes a difference to someone. Large or small, it matters.
Yesterday, while in my car waiting for a client, I read a really cool post from Cyndi Daves about a motorcycle trip in the rain with her husband, Bill. I was reading it on my phone, and it is too much trouble to comment using my phone. Later, I couldn't remember who wrote it.
So, what about it? What was my takaway from Cyndi's post?
It was that I need to find something fun to do with my husband. Long story short - - he is going to teach me to golf. Starting tomorrow. We already scheduled it and watched the Player's tournament or something today to warm up.
Now I know what a slice is. It has nothing to do with apple pie. Who knew???
Today, I logged on to AR, went straight to the blogroll - there is Cyndi and Dave's Rainmaker picture. Score! There she was! I went to read her post and comment on yesterday's post ...
Cyndi's post today was about people's reaction to her Bike Ride post - she had just thrown it together real quick for the 31 Days of May Challenge. When she logged on today, it had been featured in 2 groups and reblogged. An AH-HA moment for Cyndi.
And she didn't know that her post was featured at my house, too. :)
Cyndi's AH-HA moment was:
Just write what’s in your heart and head and let the chips fall where they may.
Worked for me.
Cyndi - Your Quickie post was an inspiration for me. Thanks!
