You may have read my earlier post about the Fair Oaks Spring Fest and Car Show that happens here the first weekend in May every year. Well, it has taken me awhile to blog about it, but it was a great success and a lot of fun.
There were a couple of hundred cars on display and although some of them were pretty snazzy and some were very tricked out, one of the cars that got the most attention was a 1912 Buick.
Amazingly, the car was completely original, and the owners drove it to the show. Nothing on it has ever been replaced. I spoke with the owner and he said that he had inherited it from his grandfather, who bought it new and took very good care of it.
The leather upholstery was gorgeous and like new. The engine looks a bit different than today's cars, and the owner told me that he hopes it never breaks down because he probably couldn't afford to replace it!
I took lots of photos of the entire Spring Fest, but I wanted to share these of the 1912 Buick with you today.
