Almost Speechless Sundays: Downtown Baton Rouge Levees

Yesterday, the weather was beautiful. There was an unusual breeze…for some reason; it reminded me of being in the mountains. A good friend of mine mentioned that we should go check out the levee. I was a little resistant at first because I figured that they did not want people near the levee due to obvious reasons. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the chance to take pictures of an event that would eventually go down in history…and neither could anyone else. I considered myself to be a bit nutty for making my way Downtown but I was in good company because there were numerous people taking pictures, checking out the levee and the gorgeous view. With the sun beginning to set and the cool breeze coming in, it was a perfect day for sightseeing and photography.

Today a client withdrew a contract offer on a property. She was sad but she said...'compared to what is going on down south this is nothing'. I have to agree. here's praying for everyone who is in the line of flood damage. may your spirit far outlast the sadness.
