who are you?

I have been taught the following, my grandfather was big on this phrase

1. Common people talk about other people

2. Normal people talk about things

3. Great People talk about idea's

I guess I forgot sharks sell all the time!

where do you fit in? where do you want to fit in?

I believe this has something to do with the "law of attraction", this has been around for years, recently was bundled up with a little mysticism and a Australian Voice to form the secret, its been around for ever though, the old adage " birds of feather flock together" still rings true

Jeff, I imagine at different times I have been all of these people!  It's something to think about - your grandfather was a wise man...

Morning Jeff,

I have so many ideas lately, so I guess I fall into the idea category.  One flaw on my part, I don't implement...ugh!

I suppose nobody wants to be considered common, average or normal but rather great. How guilty we all are of being less than. It's something to think about for sure and strive to be not only great but all that we do should be of importance and have meaning. Be it ideas or assisting other people. . .It certainly pertains to our industry. To be common or just normal would mean sell anything, (Home or mortgage) to anyone for a quick result. To be great is to deny or be an advocate even when a sale is staring you in the face. If only everyone were great, we'd probably see much less foreclosures and heartache at the expense of families with expired ARMS, interest only loans and/or homes they simply can't afford.

Yes, we should all keep greatness tied on a rope three feet in front of us and constantly head its way.

Depending on what is happening in my life I can fall into all your categories within the same day.  I am confident that many of us at some point have this experience.

Jeff,

You make a good point, but it is like my wise old grand mother always said. We are what we are, as long as we do it with charm and tact. Have a great day in Dublin and "Many Happy Sales."
