What Miami Beach real estate agents say about the current market
Like every Tuesday, it was "Caravan Day" today and I previewed 9 condos and homes here in Miami Beach, FL.
I take this opportunity to meet agents I already know or new ones I have never met before. It is a great way to network besides learning about listings. I am always curious to hear my peers' opinion to either confirm or disprove mine and it was very encouraging.
Every single one said how much they have felt the upswing in the market which we have been waiting for for years. Some even mentioned that they have made more money this year after only 5 months than in the last 2 years combined. After South Florida was hit especially hard due to the mortgage crisis, we sure need this positive development.
I am watching the market closely every day and it almost feels like we are reaching the end of an era and the wheels start turning again.
The luxury market which was moving very slowly is picking up momentum which is a great indicator for the future in this industry.
Real estate is very local and I understand that many places are still not in good shape. I am just happy to work in an area where things are looking up, FINALLY!
