A New Restaurant Scene for Nantucket, Summer 2011
Are you looking for the changing scene in Nantucket? Just look to some of the new great restaurants that have opened in the last few weeks. There are some really great and diverse new ones to add to the already abundant list of fabulous Nantucket restaurants. The good news is that these new restaurants really hit on all different style of food and different price points, well as different atmospheres. There is something for everyone.
With so many selections my thoughts are to give a quick overview of what is out there waiting for you.
The first one to look at in the new lineup is Pazzo, located in the old Sofolia Restaurant building, at 130 Pleasant Street; my thought is this one will delight all. The location has very easy parking and no traffic to fight in this mid island spot. It has been totally redone with a new floor plan and totally new décor giving it a great feel. Pazzo is the brainchild of non other than Marco Coelho and his talented group from Lola 41. The same energy and impeccable service are ready for you and yours.
Marco’s attention to the details of service is well known and very much appreciated. His knowledgeable staff is very eager to please. The bar has plenty of seating and is more than comfortable, usually with a very lively group in attendance.
The menu lends itself towards Mediterranean technique with a few surprises. Try the Wild mushroom Bruschetta with Ricotta Salata,it was just incredible. To accompany the fabulous food is an equally fabulous wine list. With one of their favorites wines of choice is its name sake “Pazzo
Dinner is served nightly, hours are 5pm-1am. There will be an event or two hosted byPazzo for the Wine Festival. so call ahead for reservations. Reasonable priced and lots of fun, this is a place you have to check out.
