Come to Morgan County Ohio we a blessed with AEP ReCreation Land 
42,000 acres of reclaimed surface mined land make up the recreational area known as the ReCreation Land. Within this area, found 9 miles east of McConnelsville on SR 78, are over 300 campsites, 350 lakes and ponds, mountain bike and equestrian trails, Miner's Memorial Park (home to the Big Muskie Bucket) and some of the finest hunting and fishing found anywhere in Southeast Ohio. Over 40 miles of the Buckeye Trail wind through Morgan County in what is known as the Stockport section. It crosses the county diagonally entering the Villages of both Stockport & Chesterhill, Burr Oak State Park, the AEP ReCreation Land and the Wolf Creek Wildlife Area.
