My Backyard Is Better Than Your Backyard!

I grew up in Idaho.

It is, in my opinion, one of the best places in the world to live.

It has so much to offer with fabulous weather for all seasons, beautiful mountains to hike, bike, horseback ride, ski, snowboard, snow shoe and if you are a motorized vehicle person 4-wheel & snow mobile.  We have mountain lakes, rivers and streams where we can fish, kayak, swim, raft or just sit next to and stare at.  And that is not all.  Living in Boise, Idaho all of this is at the tip of our fingers.  While we have a great cultural center and a good sized city, we also don't feel so enormous that those of us who are outdoors people at heart aren't claustrophobic.

Sawtooth Mountains

Since graduating from high school I have lived in a number of different places, including overseas.

I have hiked the Pyrenees Mountains in Spain, scaled the Wadi's of Israel, camped in and toured Alaska & Canada, and  I can honestly say that one of my favorite places in the entire world, the place that I think is more beautiful than anywhere else that I have been is right in my backyard.

And by backyard I mean the spectacular Sawtooth Mountains.  I'm in love.

What is your favorite place in the world?

John & Kasey...Mountain living is a beautiful thing, you have seasons -change and a wonderful pace of life. I have found a similar place and we should both count ourselves lucky.

Hi, John and Kasey...I love the photo, too! Beautiful country! You described it so well...love the fact that a country soul can live in Boise and not feel hemmed in by the city. That's great!
