Nothing can totally prepare you for motherhood but getting involved by taking local classes can definitely take the edge off. It’s natural for expecting mothers to be somewhat nervous about being a first time mommy so absorbing quality education can easily calm fears. Many expecting mothers might not know that there are classes throughout the Baton Rouge area just for them. Of course, most of us have our nose in the books for the majority of our pregnancy but nothing can replace actually learning in a hands on atmosphere. I can remember a class I took at Woman’s while I was pregnant with Coop and it definitely was hands on. They brought out the baby dolls and diapers and I couldn’t help but chuckle as the men in the room started squirming in their seats. Again, there are numerous childbirth and baby classes to take in and around the Baton Rouge area; you just have to find the place and the class that is right for you!
