TO VEGAS BOB, WITH LOVE, STRAIGHT FROM MONACO

By

May 19, 2011

These photos were taken at the Oceanographic Museum, located at Avenue Saint Martin, 98000 Monaco which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Vegas Bob, when I saw this, I gasped - I thought of you. Therefore, these are coming to you straight from the heart, from the collection of Prince Albert, the Scientist whose cruises and research has provided the basis for modern oceanography. Because I know your time is valuable and precious, I'll only include a few photos of interest. I hope you find them to be of value and hope for your future research.

From my travels in Europe I saw incredible cliffs, mountains, countrysides, incredible vistas and architectural beauty. Yet nothing compares to what I saw that comes from the Mediterranean Sea. Most of us live busy lives and we have a tendency to forget that moments like this brings us an opportunity to see something new and wonderful, and the feelings we get, are often, plunged deep, deep from within the sea of our soul.

Vickie,

I was truly mesmerized by the fish myself, so I'm glad you enjoyed them. There's something about the soothing waters and seeing fish through glass that seems to touch your spirit, such a calming effect it has, doesn't it?

May you have a smooth and calming day!

Thanks Melinda!

I was having a nice little vacation with my daughter and her husband, I wasn't thinking about business or anyone else, then it happened... I saw the conjoined aliens on the Museum Shelf and thought VB! I've got to get that photo to Vegas Bob!

I'm sure you would have done the same.

All the best to you!

Rebecca,

I hope Vegas Bob does get to go there to see it with his own two eyes. That little two headed Alien was in the Museum section in a showcase and the first thought that popped into my head was VEGAS BOB - OMG - I WISH HE WAS HERE!

Now if it has been in the gift shop, I wouldn't have gotten that excited, but think that any friend of VB on AR would have reacted the same way. It was quite a treat to see it and I'm so glad I got pictures. Of course, I have to say, I was very lucky to take as many pictures, as I did. While I was going snap happy in the aquariums, some guy tapped me on the shoulders and said I couldn't do that, so I stopped.

There's alot to be learned in a foreign country!

Well hello again Patricia and you knew VB would be back! Can you tell me what this two-headed statue is? was it cast from something found or created? You know VB loves this the best because I have relatives from distant planets, and I am always fascinated by this UFO/ Alien stuff. You have a wonderful collection of photographs from a very fascinating place, I really would like to go there some day and take video & photographs. Your post is so intense and full of so many photographs of so many different things, rolling through your post is almost like being there without actually traveling there ...

Your post has been featured at one of my favorite groups at AR ...

VB,

All I can tell you, is that all of these photos are authentic and not doctored up or altered in any way. All of these photos were taken by me at the Oceanographic Museum, located at Avenue Saint Martin, 98000 Monoco which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. I wish I had answers to your questions, but I don't.

The two-headed creature was in a showcase at the museum exhibits, which included memorability to the founder, the polar bear, walrus, and other things from the sea that I could not identify. There was nothing phony or fake in this section of the museum. Some of the exhibits had writing in a language that could have been French, but I don't know that for sure. There were a few signs translated in English, and those are the only ones I photographed and put here on this post. The two-headed alien (or what looked like an alien to me) was displayed with serious relics of collections from the sea. Not everything was labeled and I didn't see people there who I could talk to about this particular alien creature.

To my knowledge, everything there was true relics of some sort that came out of their excursions from the sea and brought back to their laboratories.

In the section where the whale bones were on display, they also had showcases that contained sea shells, pipes, and many of these where hand painted. But this was a separate exhibit from where the two-headed creature was located. Here are other examples of what I'm talking about.

The two-headed creature was with the memorabilia and other fine relics in this showroom:

Next are more examples of the other exhibit room that contained all the bones and shells that were hand painted behind glass showcases. Can you see the baby inside the one closest to my camera?

VB, I really wish I had more information to give you, the truth is, I don't. I hope you are as happy to see this as I was to share with everyone on AR.

VB, thank you so much for helping me to tap into the world of science. If it hadn't been for your passion for aliens, I might have missed it entirely. Thank you so much for the feature too.

The AR group FRIENDS AT ACTIVERAIN that was initiated and created by you is one of my favorites and it's an honor to know that you thought it was good enough to rise to the top by being featured.

Thank you!
