Communication is the key to success
In our industy, communication is the cornerstone of establishing lasting relationships, repeat business and referrals. You quite simply cannot over-communicate when it comes to dealing with your clients. If you implement proactive communication strategies you can help ease the anxiety and nip in the bud any feelings of not being kept in the loop! In other words, communication can lubricate the process so your business can run smoothly.
There are definite steps you can employ to help lubricate your business:
1. Create documents that answer frequently asked questions and supply them on a weekly basis to your clients as you progress through your transaction.
2. Have your assistant give you an update at the end of each day.
This can create accountability and help you address items systematically
3. Provide a level of communication that is unparalleled.
This should be a goal you strive for with each client. Plan on touching each client at least 5 times a week. This can be accomplished with a combination of reports, a text, a call and email or a written note. Having systems in place and a check list will help you implement unparalleled communication.
Get a handle on eliminating the constant state of reactivity so many of us work. Incorporate steps to help build your level of service and exceed your client's expectations! Be pro-active and continually think of ways to improve your level of communcation so you can take charge of your activities and not let them take charge of you.
