Business Cards--Plain or PIZAZZ??

By
Real Estate Agent with Fonville Morisey, a Long and Foster Company

Ah, business cards.  That tiny paper representation of ourselves. That little rectangle of love.  That little tangible evidence that reminds us, "Yes, I am a REAL business(wo)man!"  How do YOU represent yourself on your business card--photo or no photo?  Plain or Pizazz??

When I first started I took the stock Coldwell Banker HPW business card that pretty much everyone had (oh, but I got to pick from like one of FIVE different templates!  Oooohhh!)  But it didn't say Susan.  It didn't represent me and my personality.  So I've gone a little Pizazz-y.  But I worry--does it compromise my "professionalism"?   Does it make me not seem "serious" enough?  Not that I believe real estate agents all need to be serious suit-wearing, pearl earring-totin' kind of people (unless that's YOU, in which case, work it!)  Anyway, what do you think?  Would you take me seriously with this card?  (Not sure yet about the slogan--seems a little overused, so I'm continuing to think on that one!)

Hi Susan. Your business card will leave a lasting impressions on those you give it to. I am not into the flowers, but if that's your personality. Go for it! It's a nice looking business card. I would take you seriously.

Hi Jerry--LOL, I can't really see you and flowers, either, but I think it fits me!  Glad to have one affirmative on the card, thanks!!

Susan - Your business card is a reflection of who you really are and the stuffy typical company card definitely isn't you!  I love your card and completely agree with Jerry - it will leave a lasting positive impression with your clients.

Hi Susan, I also think it's good to stand out from the crowd and your business card should reflect that as well.  I wonder if you could frame your photo to take away the hard edges, to me it seems a bit of a stark contrast against the soft flower theme but then, that's just my feeling.   All the best!
