Acoustic on the Beach Jam Sessions - Wednesday evenings from about 5pm 'til about 9pm
The Beach Pub
1668 I Street, Fort Myers Beach, FL

Be sure to drop by the Beach Pub Wednesday nights, as Lou and Tim have just kicked off Acoustic on the Beach jam sessions. Starting around 5 p.m. and ending around 9 p.m. every Wednesday, locals (and visitors, alike) are encouraged to bring their instruments and jam around a “portable” campfire on the beach, behind the pub. Local rocker Steve “the Lucky Dog” Lutke is the operator of the operation, and says it should be a fun time for all. There are no amps or electrical devices … just an acoustic session of chillin’ melodies in a natural setting.

There is no better place than Fort Myers Beach to watch the sun set, the ocean glisten, and let the mood lighten the air and create a little “escape” for just a few hours.

Free Recreational Saltwater Fishing Weekends
The weekend of June 4 and 5 and the Father’s Day weekend of June 18 and19 have been declared as free recreational saltwater fishing weekends in Florida. This means that anyone, residents and non-residents, can  recreationally saltwater fish on these weekends without a saltwater  fishing license. All other normal recreational saltwater fishing rules,  seasons, bag and size limits apply.

All of Florida’s waters are open to fishing and fishing is especially good on Fort Myers Beach!

Sunset Celebration - Bongo's Bar and Grill at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa
The Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa pays tribute to some of the best sunsets on earth with their Sunset Celebration!
275 Estero Blvd.
Fort Myers Beach, FL

Watch aqua and red rays fanning out into the evening sky, reflecting off the Gulf of Mexico while other colors illuminate the horizon with vivid and breathtaking shades of orange, violet, mauve and pink. The touch of warm evening breezes coupled with feel of the sugar white sand on your feet  and the sound of swaying palm trees only further enhances the allure of  an unforgettable tropical sunset.

This sunset ritual is practiced like  the celebration of life itself each night at Bongo's Bar and Grill at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa.

So  join them for a new Pink Shell tradition as they raise their drinks and
toast the sun melting into the waters of a distant horizon with the  blowing of the Pink Conch Shell.

Thanks, Mike, it is helpful to see the local activities all in one place. Things are a little slower on the beach at this time of year, but still lots of fun.
