Everybody has a bit of nostalgia when it comes to the past. Well now you have a chance to see the way things were in Franklin County, VA! Not far from Smith Mountain Lake  on Father's Day weekend, you can take a step back in time at the Southwest Virginia Antique Farm Days held at the Franklin County Recreation Park.

This three day event will have something for everyone, admission is only $5 and children under 12 are free. There will be lots of things to see and do with live demonstrations every day. Threshing, baling and sawmilling are just a few of the demonstrations, and everything from tractors to riding mowers will show off their power to pull.

For the collector or bargain hunter there will be a flea market and an auction. For those of you who love to plant and harvest, there will be garden seminars available as well. Throw in some quilting and bluegrass music and you have a country fair in the making.

Franklin County Farm DaysCome hungry too! There will be plenty of good ol' fashioned, down-home good vittles to be had. On Sunday you can enjoy an old time church service with preaching and gospel music. Visitors can rely on shuttles to get them to the different exhibits and demonstrations and back to the parking lot when the day is done!
