Habitat For Humanity is alive and well in northwest Arkansas. Most are familiar with this great organization championed by President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn. With a goal of making home ownership available to those with extenuating circumstances, volunteers identify the needs and build houses!

The National Association of REALTORS has partnered with Habitat for Humanity on several occasions.

We are so fortunate to have a Habitat for Humanity (Re)Store here in Bentonville, AR . The location is 908 SE 21st St. and is stocked with donated building materials from brads, nails and screws to windows. You'll also find doors and shingles, lighting fixtures and bathroom fixtures, blinds and flooring. The donated items are passed on to customers at a very reasonable price. I've been there and the place is awesome. Volunteers staff the store.

Remodeling? Is there something you need from the Habitat ReStore or could donate to this worthy organization?

Excellent hyper-local post featuring your area habitat Re-Store. We actually have one here in Austin that was the pilot program for others in the rest of the country and it's a great place to get bargains for home improvements and help out an awesome charity at the same time! Nice job here Charles!

Charles,

I'm glad President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn championed such a good cause. Your post is so well written.I support Habitat for Humanities and I've volunteered in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I visited the Habitat Store in Mesquite, TX and was quite impressed. I learned about it through an investor.

I didn't know about that N.A.R. partnered with Habitat for Humanities - now that's exciting!!!

Thank you for this great post and information!

Patricia

Charles ~ Nice job getting the word out on your local Habitat RE-Sale Store.  I sit on the board at our local Habitat and we also have a Re-Sale Store.  I also let every homeowner know about our store.  We just go a whole house full of goodies to resell.

Charles--What a great idea for making additional money to help the homeless and this is almost like recycling!  I have never heard of anything like this, but I will check before buying materials for the new deck I have planned!

Charles,

We GREATLY appreciate you mentioning our ReStore here in Bentonville and are proud to announce that we have moved to a bigger and better location at 1212 N Walton Blvd.

Our pricing is still very reasonable and we carry a lot more than we were able to in the past due to the lack of space. The new floor plan is much easier and convenient to navigate and we have started to carry a nice selection of furniture and home décor as well as our typical remodeling supplies.

If there are any questions that we can answer for anyone please feel free to contact us at (479) 273-3638 or visit our web page at www.habitatbentoncounty.org

Thank you all very much for supporting your local non-profit organizations and we look forward to partnering with you in the future,
