Have you bought a home recently? There's a lot to look at out there. The first time you go out as a home buyer is so lots of excitement and expectation. And then you (or your Realtor) open the door to the first house and there's disappointment. So many times you start out with high expectations of your dream home and then quickly, those visions are stripped as you realize it's going to be harder to find your ideal home in your ideal neighborhood.
What if I told you there was a way to buy your ideal home in your ideal neighborhood. There is. You can know where you want to live and find your ideal house in that neighborhood. And when I say ideal I mean the house that you've envisioned, not the house that you've settled for.
Here's the basic processed mapped out:
- Find out how much money you can and want to spend on a house.
- Decide which neighborhood(s) you are most interested in.
- Look at the houses available in that neighborhood that are in your budget.
- Meet with the renovation team and decide what modifications you would like to make to transform one of those houses into your home.
- Place an offer on the house. Assuming it is accepted, work thorough the under contract period where your loan is finalized and remodeling details worked out. This usually takes 30 days.
- Close on the house. Take ownership and possession.
- Construction begins to make the house your home.
Yes, this really can be done and is being done all in one 30 year mortgage, all within your budget.
Buying a home is an exciting time and should be enjoyable and encouraging.
