Brian Piland has a huge heart for people. He is a gifted guitarist and love music. He started a year or so ago giving FREE guitar classes to whoever would like to learn to play guitar. Grace Christian Center (aka TheGrace Place) has given him a home for his students and classes. He puts his ads in the craigslist FREE section. The classes run 6 to 8 weeks and students learn to tune a guitar and by the end of class are playing at least a couple of songs. The classes continue to grow at each offering.
A recent class had over 60 students made up of kids as young as 10 up to adults in their 60.s. People are starting to hear the success stories about Brian's classes and a few have stepped up to donate guitarts to his students. Grace is offering tax free giving receipts for donated guitars and several students who did not have the money to buy a guitar now have one and are learning to play.
