Edward James Olmos to Join "Dexter" series cast!

I am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE Dexter fan!!!! Cant wait for season 6!

Edward James Olmos has signed on for season 6 of Showtime's "Dexter" as a guest star, the network announced on Tuesday. The actor, will play "a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies," according to Showtime's announcement.

Olmos joins a cast that will be filled with an impressive roster of guest stars, including the previously announced Colin Hanks and Mos (formerly Mos Def).

The sixth season of "Dexter" begins production on Wednesday in Los Angeles for premiere this fall.

I wonder if Olmos will be the *big bad* or it it will be Colin Hanks. They will have to go a long way to replace John LIthgow. After a disappointing season three, he brought the series back.

Curt, Thanks for the Dexter update. I too am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of Dexter. It seems like such a long wait in between seasons. Like Scott above, I wonder who will be the BAD GUY?

JEO after John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits is a WELCOME addition....I disagree with Scott that Season Three was a disappointment. I'm sorry to see Jessica Stiles leave - she was a good reminder of his "humanity"!
